Council of Academic Advisors

IAU's Council of Academic Advisors (CAA) is made up of faculty/administrators from partner institutions who exercise direct oversight of the development and implementation of IAU’s academic programs in Aix-en-Provence, France and Barcelona, Spain. Assessment and student learning outcomes are examined regularly. Full program review and professor interviews are also conducted to ensure the highest quality of academic integrity in the program. During its annual fall meeting on-site at either its Aix-en-Provence or Barcelona campus, CAA members review contact hours, syllabi, workload management, and the overall academic student experience. The CAA also keeps IAU informed of best practices among U.S. colleges and universities with regard to academic programming. Most CAA members hold a Ph.D. in their respective disciplines varying from modern languages, art history, literature and culture, anthropology to psychology. The plurality of voices among the CAA members also contributes to the diversity of academic offerings at IAU.
