Bachelor's and Master's Programs

Undergraduate Research

IAU offers research opportunities to motivated students during their term abroad. Students who participate in the undergraduate research program work with an assigned IAU faculty member to design and implement a research program that corresponds closely to their coursework and academic interests.

The undergraduate research program consists of regular gatherings with students in order to introduce them to research by writing a 15-page dissertation on a topic related to their own curriculum, courses chosen at IAU, and study abroad experience in Europe/France/Provence-Mediterranean. At the completion of the dissertation, students defend ("soutenir") their study in front of a jury of IAU professors. Students earn one credit for the successful completion of the program.
