The American College of the Mediterranean is proud to announce Ambassador Greta Holtz as the newest addition to the Board of Trustees.
Ambassador Holtz is the President and Chief Executive Officer or Amideast, a leading U.S. nonprofit organization that expands educational and training opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) while strengthening ties with the United States. Before leading Amideast, Ambassador Holtz spent 35 years as a career diplomat. She served as the U.S. Ambassador to Oman from 2012 to 2015, the Chargé d’affaires in Qatar from 2020-2021, and ran the Provincial Reconstruction Team program in Iraq.
In her own words, “I am deeply honored to have been asked to be on the ACM’s Board of Trustees; serving on the Board of Trustees of the American College of the Mediterranean is an honor because such service means contributing to an institution that has long connected cultures, expanded horizons, and opened doors for students from around the world. ACM’s commitment to academic excellence, global understanding, and the transformative power of study abroad is something worth safeguarding — and shaping — for the next generation.”
