A composer by training, he holds two Master’s degrees from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and earned his doctorate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2019–2020, he was an artist-in-residence at the Casa de Velázquez — the French Academy of Arts in Madrid — where he composed extensively for voice and choir, setting texts in French, Italian, Spanish, English, and Hebrew. Since 2017, as a fellow of IRCAM–Centre Pompidou, Jonathan has explored the intersection of artistic creation and scientific research. His work in this area has led to multiple peer-reviewed publications in music technology and computer-aided composition, the organization of international conferences (including TENOR), and over a hundred citations on Google Scholar.
