Housing Assistant
After graduating with a B.A in French & Spanish from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Karen Tahmazian moved to Paris in 1991 where she handled logistics for an international bank. In 1998 she moved to Aix-en-Provence and opened up her own restaurant. Karen also worked with an international clientele as part of a Luxury Real Estate Company. In 2002, she started working for US programs and now has over 20 years of experience. Karen worked at ACM-IAU in 2010 in Housing, and re-joined the institute in 2023 as part-time Housing Assistant where she focusses on recruiting new host families and student apartment housing. Karen is Franco/American from Wisconsin, she is fluent in French and English and speaks some Spanish and Armenian.
