Stephanie Jensen-Moulton joins ACM as Inaugural Dean of Humanities and Sciences

Dr. Jensen-Moulton will join the team in Aix-en-Provence in the Fall 2026 semester.

Dr. Jensen-Moulton brings a rare combination of scholarly distinction, administrative experience, and a deep commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and learning. Over the course of her career, she has led complex academic units, supported faculty development across a wide range of disciplines, and guided programs through periods of strategic growth and change. Her work reflects a clear understanding of how to build academic communities that are both rigorous and collaborative.

She joins us from Syracuse University, where she has served in senior academic leadership roles, working across multiple departments and programs while helping to drive curricular innovation and institutional planning. Her experience leading interdisciplinary initiatives and mentoring faculty will be especially valuable as we continue to develop the School of Humanities and Sciences in ways that are distinctive to our Mediterranean context.

Throughout the search process, Dr. Jensen-Moulton demonstrated a strong alignment with ACM’s mission, particularly our commitment to interdisciplinary inquiry, place-based learning, and cultural exchange. She brings both intellectual energy and a collaborative leadership style that will serve the School well as it continues to grow.
