Dean Espiritu is the recipient of the NAFSA’s Outstanding Service in International Education Award

Kira EspirituACM-IAU Dean of Academic and Strategic Initiatives, Kira Mendez Espiritu, Ph.D. is the recipient of the NAFSA: Association of International Educators’ 2025 Region XII Outstanding Service in International Education Award

The award recognizes those have performed above and beyond the call of duties within Region XII in at least 3 different areas of international education. Kira’s significant contributions to international education span study abroad administration, professional development, and inter-area collaboration, highlighted by their leadership roles in NAFSA, including coaching, training, regional conference planning, and enhancing Region XII’s national profile. We are so proud of Kira and feel incredibly lucky to have her on the ACM-IAU team!
