Professional Development Opportunities
IAU offers professional development opportunities for faculty, alumni and lifelong learners in a variety of disciplines.
Atelier Professionnel | Workshop for Professors
IAU is proud to host the Atelier Professionnel (Professional Workshop for professors and teachers of French language and culture) at its campus in Aix-en-Provence, France. This ten or fifteen-day workshop is catered towards education professionals and takes place each summer in conjunction with regular summer programs. Participants attend special lectures geared towards deeper understanding of French language and culture, participate in classroom observations led by IAU faculty, are exposed to contemporary teaching styles and content, as well as critically analyze French language, literature, and culture courses. Through this program, participants will enhance their teaching methods, develop and study new didactical tools, learn how they can improve their pedagogical strategies, and discover new content to use in courses at their home institutions.
Dates | July 1st – July 10th |
*Note: Participants may opt to extend their program by up to five days for a modest additional fee. Those interested in doing so should contact Dean Muriel Cros.
