Course Description:

This 1-credit course is designed for both Aix-en-Provence community members and study abroad students seeking an introduction to French wine culture. Conducted in French, the course is ideal for students who have completed at least three semesters of college-level French or have received approval from the professor.

Students will explore the major French wine regions, gaining insight into their unique characteristics and histories. The curriculum includes guided wine tastings, an introduction to the winemaking process, and an in-depth analysis of French wine labels and appellations. Practical components of the course will cover how to select, serve, and pair wines effectively. 
Community members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to engage in an immersive learning experience alongside international students
