Program Costs
Below are costs for all IAU programs and locations.
Please Note: Program costs shown below may not be applicable to students from IAU's partner institutions. If you are not sure if you attend a partner institution, please contact your study abroad office for accurate cost information. Students should be aware that their institution may add additional fees to their final invoice and should contact their institution for billing questions if they fall into this category.
Enrollment Deposits: Students are responsible for an enrollment deposit due with their application upon admittance: $1,000 for semester and summer programs; $1,500 for J-Term programs. This deposit will be applied to the overall program cost and will appear on students' invoices.

EARLY START PROGRAM
Semester students in Aix-en-Provence, France, Barcelona, Spain, Madrid, Spain are invited to join IAU for an optional week-long Early Start Program before their fall or spring semester abroad.
Spring 2025 Program Cost: | $1,420 |
Inclusions: Program cost includes tuition for the 1-credit language course; housing; insurance for one additional week; activities; and transportation.
The Many Faces of France:
The Many Faces of France Maymester Program Cost: | $5,600 |
Inclusions: Program cost includes tuition for three credits, lodging, daily breakfast, some group lunches and/or dinners, intra-program transportation (by plane, train, or bus), entrances/fees for all scheduled cultural activities and academic visits, orientation fee, and health, liability, and repatriation insurance. Additional student costs include round-trip airfare, most lunches/dinners, textbooks, and personal expenses.
The Biz: Film Making and Marketing:
The Many Faces of France Maymester Program Cost: | $4,200 |
Inclusions: Program cost includes tuition for three credits, lodging, daily breakfast, a welcome and farewell meal, transportation between hotel accommodations and Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival pass, and international health, liability, and repatriation insurance.

- Provence Family Apartment: Housing one of our local Aix-en-Provence hosts. They offer an apartment-style housing living and kitchen access to cook your own meals. Meet your hosts and learn about their life in France while maintaining a more independent type of housing (not daily interaction with host). All Provence Family Apartments are unique.
- Student Residence Apartment: Live with other ACM-IAU students in apartments especially designed for student living. Some apartments are in apartment buildings with other university students studying in Aix-en-Provence. No meals or kitchen access is provided.
Barcelona, Spain:
- Traditional homestay with meals: Daily interactions with family and daily breakfast and dinner.
- Student Apartment: maximum 10 students; double/triple rooms; fully-equipped shared kitchen and living room; shared bathrooms with a maximum of 3-4 students; laundry access; no meals included.
- Condo-Style Student Residence: double or single rooms; shared kitchen and living areas; shared bathrooms with a maximum of 3-4 students; laundry access; gym access; reception assistance; no meals included.
-Traditional homestay with meals: Daily interactions with family and daily meals
*The default summer housing arrangement in Madrid is the Co-Living Apartment. There MAY be limited homestay placements available but students should expect to be placed in a Co-Living Apartment.
Florence, Italy:
- Student Apartments: shared kitchen space; no meals provided.
Rabat, Morocco (Summer only)
- Shared Riad: shared central living space and shared common areas; three meals per weekday
- For students enrolled in the Marchutz Core Art Program, there are additional fees to cover the cost of supplies and trips:
- Summer 2025: $450
- For any students not in the Marchutz Core Art Program but who wish to take a studio art course, there is an additional supply fee:
