TRUSTEE EMERITI

Trustee emeritus/emerita is an honorary title conveyed by the ACM-IAU governing board upon a former trustee to recognize their exemplary service while on the board. The following former ACM-IAU Trustees have been given the well-deserved honorary title of Emeritus. The entire ACM-IAU community, including the board, alumni, faculty, and staff, are deeply indebted to them for their years of selfless service.

Dr. Barbara Freed
1994-2018
Dr. Barbara Freed is a 1961-62 alumna of IAU and Professor Emerita of French Studies and Applied Linguistics at Carnegie Mellon University where she was founding head of the Department of Modern Languages. She was named ''Officier" dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques du Gouvernement Français.
