Pre-Departure Requirements - Tangier

Before students begin their program in Tangier, Morocco, there are several items that need to be submitted to IAU's U.S. Office. Please complete these in a timely manner. Below there are links to several important documents that need to be submitted electronically or downloaded, printed, completed, and returned to IAU's U.S. Office via fax or email using the contact information on the form. 

For programs in Tangier, Morocco, please refer to the below list of requirements.

      • Physician Statement and Wellness and Accommodations Questionnaire - In order to better assist students while abroad, we request that students complete the Physician Statement and Health Questionnaire. This information will allow IAU to provide support should health/mental health concerns arise during the study abroad experience, and particularly in the event of a health emergency. IAU may request additional documentation from students’ health care provider as part of their application. This documentation will provide guidance to IAU on how to best support students during their participation in the program.

      • Financial Assistance Form - If you are paying IAU directly and relying on financial assistance to cover all or a portion of your IAU tuition and fees, please download the Financial Assistance Form, complete your portion, and then have a financial aid advisor from your home institution complete their section and return it to IAU. Please upload your complete form through your student portal.

      • Travel Itinerary - Please complete the online form through your student portal.

      • IAU Post Acceptance Waivers - Please complete the online form through your student portal.

      • Program Deposit - For students invoiced by IAU directly for the program deposit, the remainder of your deposit of $800 is due within two weeks of acceptance. The deposit secures your course registration and housing placement. These placements will not be secure until this payment is made. Details on refunds can be found on the Financial Policies page. You can pay your deposit by check or credit card. Additional details can be found on the Payment Options page.

    Fall Semester Students: Within two weeks of acceptance or by May 15 - whichever comes first (Program Deposit and Financial Assistance Form), June 15 (Travel Itinerary, Wellness Questionnaire, Post-Acceptance Waiver)
    January Term Students: Within two weeks of acceptance or by October 1 - whichever comes first (First Program Deposit and Copy of Passport) on or before October 15 (Second Program Deposit and Financial Assistance Form), November 1 (Travel Itinerary, Wellness Questionnaire, Post-Acceptance Waiver)

    Spring Semester Students: Within two weeks of acceptance or October 15 - whichever comes first (Program Deposit and Financial Assistance Form), November 15 (Travel Itinerary, Wellness Questionnaire, Post-Acceptance Waiver)

    Summer Term Students: Within two weeks of acceptance or April 15 - whichever comes first (Program Deposit and Financial Assistance Form), May 1 (Travel Itinerary, Wellness Questionnaire, Post-Acceptance Waiver)
